I was immediately intrigued with the synopsis of this book. It’s about a group of dives exploring a sunken ship deep in the ocean in a space where there’s no movement of water, therefore no oxygen and therefore no flora and fauna. Just an abandoned ship underwater that sank mysteriously about a 100 years ago….
It’s a creepy book, that makes you question – why would someone want to read a diary only meant to be cursed and written about some really bad, demonic things that still lurk within the woods? Well. That’s the mystery of it all.
This book is more about Lafcardio Hearn, the author of Irish descent who settled in Japan. It’s fascinating to know Japanese culture through his eyes. Like superstitions, beliefs & customs of the culture I did not know about and how the Japanese take their fairytales very seriously.
